The Bullhead Phantom is a humanoid Monster kept in the Facility. It was not listed on the whiteboard, nor was it seen during the System Purge.
Physical Description & Attributes[]
The Bullhead Phantom is shown to be a tall, humanoid creature that has the skull of a bull for a head and wears a long black robe, with vines, grass and leaves stuck to it. Its unknown if the Bullhead Phantom is human or not, or where it even originates from. However, judging from its name, it is a phantom/ghost of some kind and could possess supernatural abilities.
It is possible that a bull's skull, similar to the one it uses for a head, is what summons it in the Basement.
The Bullhead Phantom is similar in appearance to the Cow Skull Giant.

When Dana and Marty are trapped in a cube prison, the Bullhead Phantom can be seen as the camera pans outward.
It makes an appearance in behind the scenes footage, flailing its arms around violently inside its cube.
Inspiration[]
The exact inspiration for the Monster is unknown. As the production crew had to create a large number of monsters, it could very well be an original creation with no specific antecedent.
Nevertheless, it has some noticeable similarities to creatures from fiction. It is similar to the phantoms from Time Bandits. In terms of horror they resemble the beasts from Feast and the way Wendigos from folklore are often depicted in modern media. Wendigos were also in a handful of horror films including Wendigo, Horrors of the Wendigo and Frostbiter: Wrath of the Wendigo. It is also similar to the 'Deerhaunter' monster from TimeSplitters: Future Perfect.
Horned Deities are featured in numerous mythologies, and the Bullhead Phantom may have taken its inspiration from one of them.
